In an effort to reach as wide an audience as possible, the Boundary County Library created Library in a Box. We have dispersed boxes of free books throughout the county. The rules are simple: Take one, bring it back whenever, pick another. We frequently re-stock the boxes, so there is no pressure to return the books right away.

Keeping Boundary County Beautiful
  • Boundary County Library regularly recycles paper, cardboard, and plastic.

  • We reuse craft and program materials to reduce waste.

  • Bubble wrap provides fun entertainment at Noon Years!

  • Paper towel and toilet paper tubes create fun creatures at Storytime and Science programs.

  • Your plastic bag donations provide us with supplies for our Plarn class as well as help our patrons carry their books home.

  • All incoming mailers for Interlibrary Loan are reused for outgoing shipments.

  • Many of our video conference partners such as Toledo Zoo and Alaska Zoo, donate their profits to eco-friendly charities. We utilize as many like-minded companies whenever possible.

  • (Coming Soon) -  We look forward to adding Roadside Litter pickup opportunities for volunteers to help us keep Boundary County beautiful.
